Over 200 Reported Dead as Health Systems Struggle to Contain Ebola Surge
An extremely serious outbreak of the Ebola virus Bundibugyo strain has erupted very fast in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. The reason why this strain cannot be controlled due to absence of the vaccine has resulted in more than 200 people dying so far. It is because the infection rate has reached such levels that there is tracing of only 20% of the possible infections. To curb the problem, Congo has suspended all flight operations to Bunia while the US has embarked on the screening process for travelers from the area.
